Extra Eyes is a local-only baby monitor app. It connects two devices over your local Wi-Fi network. No data is sent to the internet, no accounts are required, and no personal information is collected.
Extra Eyes does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and no advertising. The app does not connect to any external servers.
Camera and microphone access is used exclusively for live monitoring between paired devices on your local Wi-Fi network. Video and audio are encrypted in transit using Apple's CryptoKit framework and are never recorded, stored, or transmitted beyond your local network.
AI detection features (cry detection, person detection, motion detection) run entirely on your device using Apple's Vision and SoundAnalysis frameworks. No data is sent to cloud services for processing.
Extra Eyes uses Apple's Bonjour protocol to discover and connect devices on your local Wi-Fi network. This requires the Local Network permission. No internet connection is needed or used.
App preferences (detection settings, sound selections) are stored locally on your device using standard iOS mechanisms. Trial status is stored in the device Keychain. No data is synced to iCloud or any cloud service.
Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Apple's StoreKit framework. Extra Eyes does not process, store, or have access to any payment information.
Extra Eyes does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children. The app is designed to be used by parents and caregivers to monitor children, but does not collect data about the children being monitored.
Extra Eyes is not a medical device. It is not intended to detect, diagnose, or treat any medical condition. This app is not a substitute for direct adult supervision. Never leave children unattended.
