VIN Verify is a vehicle information lookup tool. The garage, inspections, maintenance records, and photos you create stay on your device and sync only through your own private iCloud, which the developer cannot access. Vehicle lookups you request may connect your device to public third-party data services. To keep the app reliable, limited crash and diagnostic data may be collected through a third-party diagnostics provider. This diagnostic data is not used to advertise to you or track you across other companies' apps or websites. Analytics collection is turned off, we do not sell your data, and the app does not require an account.

2Crash & Diagnostic Data
To keep the app stable, VIN Verify may collect crash reports and basic technical diagnostic information through a third-party diagnostics provider when something goes wrong. This can include a device or installation identifier and technical details about the problem.
This information is used only to find and fix bugs. It is not linked to your name or account, not used for advertising, and not used to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
We configure our tools to exclude the content you create, including VINs, license plates, customer details, notes, photos, signatures, and precise location, from crash and diagnostic reports.
3What Stays on Your Device
The following data is stored on your device. When you are signed into iCloud, it syncs to your own iCloud private database, which only you can access:
- Your saved garage of vehicles
- Inspection records and inspection photos
- Maintenance records and audit reports
- Vehicle health items and reminders
- App preferences and settings
4External Lookups Initiated by You
When you use lookup features in the app, your device may make HTTPS requests to public third-party data services or supporting app services for vehicle-related information. These requests are made only when you use the related feature.

These services are operated by independent third parties or supporting app services under their own privacy practices. The app does not use these lookups to track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Camera, photo, and voice input are processed on your device. Location is used only when you choose to look up nearby EV charging stations.
6Purchases
In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple's in-app purchase system. The developer receives only the purchase status needed to unlock paid features, such as whether you have an active subscription or completed one-time purchase.
The developer does not receive your Apple ID password, payment card information, or full payment details. Apple's privacy policy applies to purchase data: apple.com/legal/privacy
7Children's Privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated periodically to reflect new features or changes to data handling. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be noted in the App Store release notes for the next version.
