What devices do I need?

You need two Apple devices (iPhone or iPad) on the same Wi-Fi network. One device acts as the Camera and the other as the Viewer. Any combination works: iPhone to iPhone, iPhone to iPad, or iPad to iPad.

How do I connect two devices?

On one device, tap "Camera" to display a QR code. On the other device, tap "Viewer" and scan the QR code. You can also enter a pairing code manually. Both devices must be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Does Extra Eyes work over cellular or remote networks?

No. Extra Eyes is designed for local use only. Both devices must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. This is by design to protect your privacy -- your video never leaves your home network.

Is my video stored or sent to any servers?

No. All video stays on your local network and is end-to-end encrypted. There are no cloud servers, no recordings, and no remote access. When your session ends, the stream stops completely.

What is Sleep Aid Mode?

Sleep Aid Mode is a free feature that turns your device into a calming starry nightlight with ambient sounds. It works on a single device with no camera or pairing required. Just place it by the bedside.

How does the free trial work?

You get a 7-day free trial that begins when you start your first monitoring session. Sleep Aid Mode is always free and does not require a trial or purchase. After the trial, a one-time purchase of $4.99 unlocks everything forever -- no subscriptions.

How do I restore my purchase?

Go to Settings in the app and tap "Restore Purchase." This will restore your one-time purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID.

Can I upload my own audio?

Yes. With the paid version, you can upload your own custom audio tracks to play through the Camera device as soothing sounds.

What AI detection features are available?

Extra Eyes can detect crying, motion, people, and animals using on-device AI. All processing happens locally on the Camera device -- nothing is sent to external servers. You can turn each detection type on or off and adjust sensitivity in Settings.

The devices won't connect. What should I do?

Make sure both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not using cellular data). Try restarting both devices and attempting the pairing again. If you're using a VPN, try disabling it. The app requires local network access -- make sure you've granted this permission when prompted.
